Apple Releases iOS 6.1

January 28, 2013 was the new time of year to celebrate for Apple fans, primarily iPhone users. Recently, Apple has released a new operating system for their mobile carriers, iOS 6.1. Those that love their iPhones so dearly, could as well take this as their belated New Year's gift! Not only will the new OS boast new features, but it has fixed quite a number of bugs and holes from the last as well. Things are definitely looking great for Apple fans.

With the bug fixes and new "arms", what makes the new iOS MUCH more special than the others anyway? According to Apple's Senior Vice President, Philip Schiller, iOS 6.1 is out of the ordinary, stating,

“iOS 6 is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, and with nearly 300 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices on iOS 6 in just five months, it may be the most popular new version of an OS in history. iOS 6.1 brings LTE support to more markets around the world, so even more users can enjoy ultrafast Safari browsing, FaceTime video calls, iCloud services, and iTunes and App Store downloads.”

Faster web browsing, FaceTime video calls, iCloud services, and iTunes and App Store downloads? The new operating system is quite spectacular indeed. Furthermore, U.S users can purchase movie tickets from Fandango via Apple's Siri. Not only that, iTune Match subscribers can download songs to their unit from iCloud. So how do you get a piece of the fun? Simple...

Visit the mobile device's Settings and select General. The update should be available upon Software Update section. Make sure to have atleast 1GB of free space to acquire the new operating system.
